Our Family Camping Trip

The Floyd boys had one mission...."Fishin!"

Jesse loved the boat!  He just rode around and watched the boys and daddy fish...perfectly content for hours!
Jack's determination and dedication payed off...he caught the first two fish.  But, this is all we have to show for it.  When he pulled the 2nd fish into the boat, Matt turned around to open the container to put it in.  When he turned back around, the fish was gone!  He asked Jack where it had gone and Jack said he had let it go because it couldn't breathe!  Kinda funny...good to see a little compassion in Jack.

Grant loved driving the boat!

Memorial 2012

My mom was planning on keeping Guss, since it is still to early to bring him in public due to the complications he has had, but, she wasn't feeling well and my Dad volunteered to take her place.  This is how we found him and Guss when we got home from Memorial.

How'd those get there?!

So, today, we worked in field service.  Toward the end of the morning, I made a return visit on a woman that I have been calling on for a long time.  I took the sister who was working with us and Grant with me to the door.  As we exchanged our initial greetings, Ilsa (the RV) informed me that she was expecting company, but could spare just a couple of minutes.  I assured her that we would stay only for a few minutes and she welcomed us into her living room.  After we had been visiting for only about 3 minutes, I could see Matt and Jack approaching the front door.  I told Ilsa, who knows our family well, that it looked like Jack needed to use the restroom and would that be okay with her.  Of course, she did not mind.  So, I greeted them at the door and Matt mouthed to me that Jack had to poop.  Well, I would like to take this opportunity to try to explain Jack's bowel movements.  Nothing about them is quick.  And, once that need has entered his mind, he cannot hold it.  So, I put him on the toilet and headed back to continue my visit with Ilsa.  A couple more minutes pass...then I see that her original, expected guest is approaching the door to pick Ilsa up for their scheduled walk.  I went back to check on Jack's progress in the bathroom.  He said that he needed more time.  I said, you don't have more time!  You have to pause this and we can continue when you get home.  NO!  I can't!  was his response.  I tried to hurredly explain to him that Ilsa had a guest, that she was needing to leave her home with the guest and we had to leave.  Finally, I convinced him to get off the toilet.  In a rush, I helped him put on his pants, tuck in his shirt, and wash his hands.  Then, we both head out of the bathroom, Jack taking the lead down the long hallway towards the living room.  I look at Jack's feet and much to my surprise, around his left ankle are the cutest pair of red dinosaur underwear.  I said, Jack!  Stop!  He stopped and looked down.  Then he noticed the underwear...How'd those get there?!  Somehow, we had managed to get his underwear on the outside of his dress pants, hanging around one ankle!  I was dying laughing.  Jack was dying laughing.  We ran back into the bathroom and fixed the problem...this time putting the underwear on before the pants...and finally, we got out of Ilsa's home.  Boy did we have a good laugh though!
